Portugal, INSEP in France and Japan among the countries for training camps that student-athlete attending the National Sports School are experiencing
During a press conference held at the National Sports School addressed by the Minister of Education and Sport, Dr. Clifton Grima as well as the Head of School Robert Magro more details were given about the training camps held last scholastic year and also this year. The Head of School Robert Magro emphasized how the school is being proactive in all the different disciplines at school inorder to give the best to all the students-athletes. In recent years the school has worked immensely to make the training camps a priority in school. A number of students already had an experience in football, waterpolo, badminton, artistic and rythmic gymnastics, triathlon, handball, squash and cycling. In the coming weeks more students from basketball and athletics will be training in Portugal while thanks to an agreement with INSEP in France a number of students from swimming and artistic swimming will be getting the experience there. Meanwhile, a group of football players from the school are going to Portugal as well as Serbia to train. Other three students from Judo will be getting an experience at a Judo University in Japan. The Minister for Education and Sport Dr. Clifton Grima said that these training camps are excellent and useful experiences for the local sport in general and thus all the National teams can benefit from it. These training camps are being made possible thanks to the ongoing work at the National Sports School.
