The Portugal training camp was an amazing experience for all student-athletes involved. 45 students from different sports (Handball, Athletics, Triathlon, Cycling, Tennis, Rhythmic Gymnastics, and Artistic Gymnastics) took part in this training camp.
19th November
Soon after landing at Porto Airport, we had the opportunity to visit the beautiful city of Porto and have lunch there. Then, the Gymnasts had the opportunity to watch a Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition whilst the other student-athletes had the opportunity to watch a 1st Division basketball game.
20th November
After having breakfast, all student-athletes had a strength and conditioning session in the morning. Then the students went into specialized sessions in the evening. The cycling team had the chance to train on a BMX track
21st November
Again, students had two specialized sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The handball players had the opportunity to train with a handball team.
22nd November
All students had a recovery session in the pool in the morning and in the evening they had another specialized session.
23rd November
Unfortunately, it was time for us to go. Before leaving, we visited a small town called Anadia. It was our chance to relax and enjoy the beauty of Portugal.
