28 National Sport School football student athletes have returned after participating in a training camp in Torre del Grifo Catania between the 24th and 28th of March 2022.
Our students, who received professional training, said it was a unique and unforgettable experience. During their time there, they took part in several friendlies against Sicilian teams with very satisfactory results. They found these to be valuable learning experiences.
Amongst others they played against ASD Jonia Calcio, Buon Pastore Palermo and Team Sport Millennium.
The students were accompanied by their football coaches, Stefan Sultana, Sandro Zammit Fava, Rosalie Borg, Darren Farrugia, NSS physiotherapist Cedric Sciberras and Head of School Robert Magro.
Mr Magro told us that training camps such as this one are important because our students pit themselves against players of the same age from other countries.
Similar training camps for other sports disciplines are in the pipeline.
