The NSS Language Week 2025 kicked off with great enthusiasm. Students could explore exhibits showcasing the cultures of Spain, France, Germany, Italy, England and our country Malta.
Flavour or flavor? Sidewalk or pavement? From Volare to Volkswagen…from Shakira to Jean de la Valette…. ending with our foreign students talking in Maltese.
The French Department at NSS has organised an exciting week of activities, culminating in Monday’s school assembly featuring the presentation of “Franza f’Malta.” Each year group had their own unique way to participate like for example: vocabulary bingo, a delightful French breakfast, a musical journey, a fitness session in French, oral presentations about their future careers.
We were also honored by the visit of the Cultural and Scientific Counsellor from the French Embassy in Malta, Mr. Lallement and French E.O. Ms. Farrugia, who joined Year 8 in a fun-filled treasure hunt in the French room. It was an unforgettable experience for all!
The day dedicated to the German language opened with a typical hearty German breakfast. It was followed by a karaoke with year 8 students, who had a blast singing and dancing to German songs.
The Year 8 Spanish students have prepared the traditional Sangría made out of blackcurrant and fresh fruit! OLÉ
On Friday marked the end of the language week 2025. We finished off by celebrating the Italian Language… Evviva l’Italia!
