Our NSS Aquatics students together with their coaches braved the cold water to swim 2km for charity. The students showed their resilience throughout the swim even though it was no easy feat swimming in 16 degree water.

The sum of €1220 was collected in aid of Puttinu cares. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who donated and contributed to this event.

The event would not have been possible without the help of NSS teachers, the student council and a number of sponsors who supported the event.

Ethnic Sports for providing us with post swim protein bars, Go and Fun for keeping us hydrated, Garmin for providing us with swimming caps, Juice Mama and Eeatwell for providing us with freshly made healthy croissants and water. A1 Motorsports for accompanying us by jet ski throughout the swim and The Radisson Golden Sands hotel for preparing warm refreshments after the swim.

Last but not least we would like to thank the Malta Civil Protection Unit for sending over their team to deliver a very professional demonstration about their work and also for accompanying us throughout the whole swim as a safety precaution.
