A group of 21 students (17 from Basketball and 4 from Athletics) took part in a training camp in Serbia last December (8th – 11th). They were accompanied by Coach Angie Mangion, Coach Sasa Dimitrijevic and Ms Jessica Gili. Apart from taking part in well-organised training sessions, our students played a friendly match against Red Star U15 basketball team and trained with Serbian coaches and athletes. They watched a Juniors Indoor Athletics meet and a top of the league basketball clash. Our students also got a taste of what Belgrade has to offer including the city centre and the zoo. They had the chance to live as professional athletes for a short time, an experience which will prepare them for further opportunities in the near future.
