This year’s Celebration Evening crowned the first year where school life returned to normality, after years of interrupted school operation due to the pandemic. This much awaited celebration was a first for many parents, students and staff members, who had not yet witnessed a whole-school NSS end of year celebration. The theme of the evening was hence, a school returned to its former glory, with an evening that shed light on major events and achievements throughout the year.
Aladdin and Yasmin captured the audience in a dynamic artistic enactment by students from Years 7 to 10 in a show inspired by one of Disney’s iconic musicals, redubbed as Aladdin Revisited. Later in the evening, Jaydon Cutajar of Year 11 was announced as the winner of the NSS Sport Achievement Award 2023, an award which was formally presented during the final Year 11 prize giving ceremony in July.
The culmination of the evening was the prize giving ceremony for academic merit for 2021-2022.
