The English examination for entry to NSS Year 9 will consist of one paper made up of two components, namely Reading and Writing. The table below shows the individual components, the duration and the weighting of marks each carry. The Reading and Writing Exam is 1 hour 30 minutes long.

L-eżami tal-Malti għad-dħul fl-NSS fis-9 sena se jkun fih karta waħda magħmula minn żewġ komponenti, Kitba u Taħriġ il-Fehem. It-tabella ta’ hawn taħt turi d-dettalji, il-ħin u t-tqassim tal-marki. Il-karta kollha hija ta’ siegħa u nofs. Il-karta se tkun minn 50 marka, fl-aħħar tiġi multiplikata ghal 100 marka.

The Mathematics examination for entry to NSS Year 9 will consist of one paper made up of 12 questions of varying mark allocation for a total of 100 marks. This examination will be based upon the Maths syllabus of Year 8 Track 3. A non-programmable calculator will be allowed to be used during this examination. The Mathematics Exam paper is 1 hour 30 minutes long.
